Leon's newsletter Issue 06

Someone took your design and won the deal. Here's the fix.

A customer's lead used his 3D showroom to design and price their exact product, then took it to a competitor who followed up faster. Leon on why the showroom didn't fail. The follow-up did.

A smartphone showing a finished 3D product quote marked ready, next to a stopwatch, showing how little time there is to follow up.

A customer called me last month, frustrated. “This whole thing doesn’t bring me quality leads. Nobody who comes through it actually buys.”

Fair complaint.

So I asked him one question… When you call these leads, what do they tell you?

He went quiet.

Then: “A lot of them already bought. A few even took our 3D design and quote, sent it to a competitor, and got a cheaper price there.”

Read that again.

Someone used his online showroom to design their exact product.

Picked the materials.

Picked the options.

Set the dimensions.

Saw the price.

Then walked it down the street and said “match this, but cheaper.”

And the competitor said yes on the spot, because someone had just handed them a fully specced buyer with zero work.

The showroom didn’t fail. The follow-up did.#

Here’s the thing… the showroom didn’t fail.

The follow-up did.

The leads weren’t bad… they were actually the best leads he’ll ever get.

A person who builds out a full pergola design, picks every option, sees the price, and still hits submit is not browsing.

They’ve already decided they want it. The only thing left to decide is who they buy it from.

He kept them waiting.

The competitor didn’t.

And that my friend is the whole story…

The part that stings really bad… only you can offer that 3D showroom.

It’s the reason they came to you first.

And slow follow-up handed your single biggest advantage to the guy who undercuts you.

Speed decides who wins#

I see this in every market we work in… 32 of them now.

Nobody fills out an inquiry for fun.

Nobody designs a product they don’t want.

By the time they reach you, the intent is already there.

What happens next is the whole game.

How fast you call. What you send. Whether you make it easy.

Not the lead but your process behind the lead.

The first to follow up wins 78% of the time. If you follow up in the first 10 minutes after the inquiry came in, your chances to win are 5x higher.

Your digital showroom already put you first in line so don’t give that up by calling people a week later.

Go call the ones still waiting.

P.S. The fix isn’t more leads. It’s calling the ones you already have before they cool. Our showroom flags who’s serious the second they hit submit, so the hot ones go to the top of your list. Want to see a demo on your own leads? Book a call.
