Accessibility posture.
WCAG 2.1 AA is the conformance target across this site and the customer-facing configurator surface, with known gaps, the remediation roadmap, and how to flag issues all listed below. Last updated 2026-05-14.
Target#
WCAG 2.1 AA across:
- This marketing site (salesqueze.com).
- The customer-facing 3D configurator surface (every configurator we ship on customer domains).
- The customer-side authoring dashboard.
The configurator is the hardest surface to make accessible (3D interactions, real-time rendering, drag-based UX). We treat AA as the bar; AAA is aspirational.
What we’ve done#
Site (this site)#
- Semantic HTML structure (proper heading order, landmarks, lists where appropriate).
- Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements.
- Visible focus indicators.
- Colour contrast verified at AA against the brand palette.
- Alt text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked
alt="". - Form fields with proper labels.
- Skip-to-main-content link.
Configurator surface#
- Keyboard control of all configuration options (not just the 3D scene; the option panel itself is fully keyboard navigable).
- Screen-reader-friendly summaries of the current configuration state (“4 metre by 3 metre louvered pergola, anthracite frame, with lighting and screens”).
- Quote PDFs are tagged for accessibility (tags, language, reading order).
Known gaps#
- The 3D scene itself is not directly screen-reader-accessible. The summary text described above provides equivalent information; the rendered 3D model is supplementary. We’re tracking research on tactile / 3D-audio configurator equivalents but it’s not yet a shipping technology.
- Some legacy customer configurators (shipped before 2026 Q2) may not yet meet the 2.1 AA bar across all option flows. Remediation is in progress; we expect full coverage by 2026 Q4.
- Multi-language strings: when translations are added per customer, we audit accessibility per locale, but new languages may temporarily lag the EN baseline.
How to report an issue#
If you can’t access content on this site or in any SaleSqueze configurator, please report it:
- Email: accessibility@salesqueze.com
- Or use the contact page with topic “Legal” and the message “Accessibility”.
We respond within 3 working days. If the report is on a customer-facing configurator, we work with the customer’s team to remediate; you’ll be cc’d on the resolution.
Statement under EAA#
The European Accessibility Act takes effect in 2025 for most product categories. SaleSqueze’s customer-facing surfaces fall within scope (e-commerce-adjacent services). Our roadmap is to be fully EAA-compliant by the regulation’s enforcement dates in each EU member state.
How we audit#
- Automated audits (Lighthouse, axe-core) run on every build of the marketing site and the configurator templates.
- Manual audits via keyboard-only navigation and screen reader (VoiceOver, NVDA) on new template releases.
- Customer-side audits at request, included in the 90-day growth program at customer’s option.
